AARHUS CELLO EXPO is based on and inspired by four prior cello festivals held in 2008, 2010, 2012 and 2015 in cooperation with The Royal Danish Academy of Music, Aarhus and Aarhus Music School.
Unlike our previous cello festivals,
AARHUS CELLO EXPO is a festival that aims to bring talented and dedicated Suzuki cello-teachers, supporters and students from both sides of the Atlantic together in the heart of Aarhus.
DEMONSTRATE · DISCUSS · DEVELOP
AARHUS CELLO EXPO is the only festival in Scandinavia that focuses exclusively on debating and developing the educational strategies that underpin significant cello pedagogies.
Why EXPO?
The world is full of amazing cello festivals, most of which serve as summer schools for children and their parents. Naturally, AARHUS CELLO EXPO will focus on creating a positive experience for young students,
but the main essence of the festival is to develop and strengthen materials, ideas, cooperation
and pedagogical theories.
·
In addition, AARHUS CELLO EXPO offers Teacher Training for Suzuki cello teachers of all levels.
"By bringing together a dream-team of international Suzuki cello teachers at AARHUS CELLO EXPO,
we are able to expand our worldwide educational potential".
- Dorte Rolff-Petersen, Artistic Director of ACE 2018
