A: Aarhus Cello Expo is an bi-annual event dedicated to celebrating the cello, bringing together all kinds of cellists, students, and enthusiasts for workshops, performances, and exhibitions.

Q: Is Aarhus Cello Expo (ACE) a Suzuki festival?
A: Aarhus Cello Expo welcomes both Suzuki teachers, trainees, and their students, as well as non-Suzuki teachers and students. While active participation in Suzuki Teacher Training is specifically reserved for Suzuki teachers, trainees, and their students, most other activities are open to anyone with an interest in the Suzuki method. Additionally, all ACE participants are encouraged to observe and learn from their colleagues' Suzuki education sessions.

A: No, it’s not a camp!

A: Aarhus Cello Expo takes place in the heart of Aarhus. Exact venue details will be shared upon registration.

A: Yes, you’ll need to bring your own music stand.

A: Yes! Lunch is included. Please see detalis upon registration. Parents can buy extra lunch tickets as well.

A: No, the event is open to all ages and skill levels. Workshops and activities are tailored to suit beginners, advanced players, and everyone in between.
Please note that the ACE2025 will not provide pre-twinkle workshops - instead the 2025 festival will focus on ensembles and young talent.

Q: What kinds of workshops are offered?
A: Workshops range from technical skills related to the Suzuki books to ensemble playing. 

Q: Are there any live performances?
A: Yes, the expo includes performances by renowned cellists and ensembles as well as a grand finale concert on the last day of the festival.

A: An ACE t-shirt and/or red, white, or black clothing.

Q: Is there parking available at the venue?
A: Yes, parking is available near the venue. Detailed directions and parking instructions will be provided closer to the event.

Q: Do I need to bring my own cello?
A: Yes, participants are encouraged to bring their own cellos. However, rental instruments may be available upon request (for teachers travelling over seas) —please contact us in advance for arrangements.

A: Yes! We will have Wolfgang A. Schmidt with us for the ACE2025 festival.

A: Parents are expected to ensure a safe and respectful environment for everyone. This includes keeping an eye on your children, avoiding disruptive behavior, ensuring instruments are not placed in emergency exits and closing doors properly to protect everyone’s belongings.
